Dear FASO Supporter,
Now is the time to give in this year's Panhandle Gives Campaign. Give today!
This year, Friends of Aeolian-Skinner Opus 1024 (FASO) is joining #ThePanhandleGives in the week leading up to #GivingTuesday. #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving, held annually on the Tuesday after US Thanksgiving and the widely-recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and is intended to kick off the holiday season with an emphasis on giving back to our local communities and supporting worthy causes. For nine days of enhanced giving from November 19 to November 27, 2018, the Panhandle community is invited to come together to support local nonprofit organizations. Organizations that raise a minimum of $250 are eligible to receive additional donations from The Panhandle Gives amplification fund.
As you know, FASO's mission is "to present professional performances of primarily classical music for the enjoyment and education of the people of Amarillo and the surrounding Texas Panhandle." With help from generous supporters like you, we present four concerts a year, two showcasing our eponymous pipe organ, and two of various other musical performances. In addition, our musicians often stay an extra day after the concert to provide a workshop to local elementary school students as part of our Science and Art of Music-Making (SAMM) program. It is our great privilege to host world-renowned musicians in the Texas Panhandle as well as provide a platform for our community's own immense talent.
For #GivingTuesday, we are asking for help in raising funds for one concert this season, including artist fees, rental of space, and the following SAMM educational workshop. Our goal is $3,980.
Now through Saturday, November 27, you can donate to us online by clicking on this link: www.thepanhandlegives.org or in person at any Amarillo National Bank, Happy State Bank, FirstBank Southwest, or First United Bank location in the Panhandle. Checks should be made out to "The Panhandle Gives", and remember to put "FASO" in the memo line! While FASO gladly accepts donations year-round, the last day to give to this campaign and have your donations eligible for amplification is Tuesday, November 27.
Follow us on Facebook for updates and a direct link to our donation page once the campaign starts.
Thank you for supporting FASO!
